Letcool N350JP

Ever since the day the Dingoo A320 was released, the Chinese market is flooded with portable game consoles.  Most of them are able to emulate games from classic game consoles and do some media playback, but weren’t able to gain the popularity of the A320. However, the Letcool N350JP seems to be a pretty decent contender. It basically looks like a single screen Nintendo DS and comes with two small gamepads. This might seem silly for a portable device, but it also features a TV-out port and what’s more awesome than a two player game of Contra, Bubble Bobble or Street Fighter II on a boring flight? It’s also quite cheap, costing only $71.25/€58.39 at ChinaVasion. Peep the device running Doom after the break.

Gemei X760+ handheld gaming and emulator goodness

Monday, August 17th, 2009

The Gemei X760+ is now available at DealExtreme for $84.50/€59.11. The X760+ is more or less a bigger version of the Dingoo A320, with a slightly bigger 3″ screen and a higher resolution of 400×240. Like the Dingoo it plays most media files and is pretty good at emulating a lot of systems. GBA, NES, SNES, Master System and Genesis are all well supported, while CPS2 games(Capcom arcade games like Marvel vs Capcom and Street Fighter Alpha 3) run pretty well with some frameskips. Neo-Geo games are a bit more sluggish. Besides emulation, there are even a few 3D games available, with some pretty impressing PSX-like graphics. Nice feature is the tv-out. The X760+ also has 4GB flash memory and an SD card slot. The only downside is that unlike the Dingoo A320, the Gemei X760+ has no shoulder buttons, which may cause some problems with some games.
